    Steingraeber & Söhne is a piano company founded in Bayreuth in Germany in 1852. The Steingraeber company is led by Udo Schmidt-Steingraeber, a descendant of the founding family. Eduard Steingraeber’s company began production in 1852, when he was 29 years old. His reputation was such that in 1874 Richard Wagner asked him to make a Parsifal bell for the grail scene in his opera Parsifal. Steingraeber is respected worldwide for the quality of its upright pianos, which some consider to be the best in the world.
