Pinblock

The pinblock is an important part of the piano. The pinblock is made up of a multi-layered hardwood block into which the tuning pins, which control the tension of the strings, are driven. The holes into which the tuning pins are driven are smaller than their own diameter. The pinblock is a very important part of the piano, as it ensures the instrument stays in tune. It must be in perfect condition.
